Bike Valet is a secure, staffed bicycle parking service that provides cyclists with a safe and reliable place to leave their bikes at events. Think of it like a coat check—but for your bike! Whether you’re attending a festival, market, or community gathering, Bike Valet ensures your bicycle is parked securely while you enjoy the event worry-free. With our high-capacity system, we can accommodate up to 400 bikes at a time, making it a scalable solution for events of all sizes.

Bike Valet is a project of Hub City Cycles, a non-profit community bike shop located in downtown Nanaimo. Since 2012, we’ve been working to make cycling more accessible, inclusive, and supported in our city.
We operate under a co-op model, which means we are owned and run by our members and volunteers. All revenue from the Bike Valet service is reinvested directly into our programs, community initiatives, and shop operations—fueling a more bike-friendly future for everyone
Whether we’re fixing bikes, hosting workshops, or parking hundreds of bikes at a festival, our mission stays the same: to support sustainable, safe, and active transportation in Nanaimo.
